April is Alcohol Awareness Month —
Each year the Drug Free Ashley County Coalition sends postcards to parents of graduating seniors with information on “Social Hosting” which is providing alcohol at parties in homes. It is illegal. Some people don’t seem to know that. The administrators at both districts have allowed us to provide banners that inform the public at the entrances to their high school football fields. The Alcohol Awareness Month is endorsed and promoted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).
