Dear friends,
Sometimes in the midst of all the decorations, food, and gift exchange, each of us need to set aside time to be thankful for life itself. Along that line, life is only worth living for two reasons. One is for the people that God has put into your life that challenge, encourage, and believe in you. Each of us have those people that have influenced us in one way or the other. The second reason that life is worth living is because God has granted us a savior that is the center of all that we do and think about this time of year. If you are still shopping and doing things that have become a part of this season, I encourage you to sit back and relax. Take some time to reflect on why we celebrate. That manger that held the baby Jesus so long ago, has become a symbol of hope for us all, and that is what we really all need right now. In the trying times that we live in, there is still hope and it lives today just as surely as it entered our world some 2000 years ago.
I cannot let this time go by without reflecting on what has blessed my life in the past year. A big part of those blessings, have come from you all, and my work with DFAC. Some on this list I do not know, and some I am just learning, but many of you have become friends and close acquaintances. This work would be impossible without you, so I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. I know that the coming year will bring new challenges, but I know together we can save some from going down the wrong path. I wish you a very merry Christmas season and many blessings for the New Year.
