Law Enforcement Appreciation Lunch Postponed

Dateline June 19, 2023: Those of you in Ashley County are fully aware of the devastation we have to deal with this week following the weekend storms.  If you haven’t seen pictures, look at the City of Crossett Facebook page for a glimpse of what we are faced with.

Due to the uncertainty of reconnecting to power, the hazards of fallen trees on roadways, and damage to homes/businesses, we feel compelled to postpone the Appreciation Lunch scheduled for Friday, June 23.  Not only will there be difficulty in ensuring that catering the meal will be feasible, but also we have a brigade of neighbors helping neighbors to clear and clean up, and many, if not all, of our law enforcement partners are engaged in one way or another with this dilemma. We are definitely praising the Lord for sparing lives in what could have been seriously injurious situations all around us.

The officers and Sector Leaders of the Drug-Free Ashley County Coalition will meet soon to determine a new date for our appreciation event.  Please inform your colleagues who had planned to attend that we are rescheduling.  This is a stressful time for our community, but as always Ashley County pulls together with helpful hands and lots of love.

Thank you for your continued concern and involvement in working toward a healthier, drug-free Ashley County.  Please call one of the Officers listed on the Contacts page to answer any questions you may have.
